The third annual Wharton Hidden Garden Tour is scheduled for the last two
full weekends in April: the 21st, 22nd and the 28th, 29th. One garden this
spring is in Wharton, another in Glen Flora and four are in the country
between Wharton and Glen Flora. Two of the gardens are next door
neighbors, so will require only one stop. Please see the schedule with
addresses on this website. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for
children under twelve years of age.
The two year history of Wharton Hidden Garden Tour leads us to believe that
this 2007 event will be just as charming, just as beautiful and just as much
fun as before. Our generous garden hosts in 2005 and 2006 were gracious and
hospitable as is typical of Whartonians. You will find that our 2006 hosts
are enthusiastic about gardening, knowledgeable about their own garden and
as friendly as a good neighbor.
On the 2007 tour you will see one garden that was completely refurbished
within the past year. Another features a huge water feature in the
form of Caney Creek. You will find hard scapes, smaller water
features, arbors, picket fence and blooms on a wide variety of annuals,
perennials, vines, scrubs and trees.
We welcome you and all to this wonderfully wholesome spring garden event.
The hours are from 2:00 to 5:00 pm each tour day. Tickets and maps at
each garden during tour hours.
We thank everyone who
contributed and/or participated. |
